Heroes Goes From Comic Book to TV Show
Thanks for the article from Laura Ryan
NBC always has the best shows. When I got DirecTV after researching how much is satellite tv, I made sure i knew what channel NBC was. In 2006, NBC launched a new series called Heroes. Heroes quickly became my new favorite TV Show. The concept of the show is there are different people from all different places in the world who have special abilities. A professor from India, Dr. Suresh, knew about all of these people and started tracking them and trying to find where they were. His son, after his death, continued the search, which sends him on an adventure and the rest, as they say, is history.
Unfortunately, after 4 seasons, NBC canceled it because it costs too much to keep the show in production. I think the reason Heroes was so successful was because it dealt with comic book type situations. It was a typical Superhero type show and everyone enjoys a good superhero movie or TV show. Heroes won many awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe awards, People’s Choice Awards and British Academy Television Awards.
The creator, Tim Kring, said that there might be a movie or miniseries in the works so the story can be finished. That is an awesome idea.
As for me, I think Heroes should have a Movie.. I’m sure that would be a BIG hit!
